President, Graeper Marketing
Brette Gillman is President, Graeper Marketing, a consulting firm providing strategy, organizational design and marketing and communications program management for global organizations and government agencies.
Brette combines the disciplines of marketing and communications with change management and organizational design to help her clients and their leadership define their message and deliver it to both external and internal stakeholders. Brette brings a wealth of functional and management expertise with over 30 years experience in business-to-business strategic marketing – primarily in the information technology industry. She also has extensive international experience having studied, lived and worked in the US, Canada, United Kingdom, The Netherlands and Japan.
Prior to founding Graeper Marketing in 2005, Brette served as the Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications for First Data International. She held management responsibility for global marketing and communications activities across 39 countries. At the corporate level, she led the launch of an award winning campaign to reposition the company after the Western Union spin-off. She also managed the communications effort associated with the $26 billion acquisition announcement of First Data by a private equity firm.
Before joining First Data, Brette spent much of her career at American Management Systems (AMS, now CGI), where she specialized in leading integrated, account-based marketing campaigns aligned to business strategy and designed for revenue generation. While based in Europe for five years, she managed a global marketing team with responsibility for communications and the go-to-market strategy for CGI-AMS’s products and services.
Brette holds a BA from Allegheny College where she has served as a member of the Alumni Council, including President. She studied for her MA in Asian Studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, England. Brette and her husband Kyle live in Fox Chapel, Pennsylvania, have three children and recently became empty nesters. When she is not visiting clients, she enjoys personal travel and is actively involved in the Pittsburgh community.
