With more than a decade of experience in PR, AR and content marketing, Carol Tong specializes in helping companies big and small define their story and tell it across a wide range of audiences and channels.
Her career has seen her work with both startups and established brands to help create and/or strengthen a position in the marketplace by developing effective messaging, communications strategies and content marketing strategies. She has played a critical role in helping start-ups launch, large enterprises tell their technology stories, and everything in between. Carol’s client roster is diverse and touches industries including marketing software, technology law firms, venture capital firms, consumer devices and apps, gaming, digital advertising platforms, and HR platforms. Her clients include AMD, Sun Microsystems (acquired by Oracle in 2010), VeriSign, Jobvite, Shoutlet (acquired by Spredfast in 2014) and many others.
While she focuses most of her energy on ‘behind-the-scenes’ work, she has served the speaker role from time to time, both as a moderator and panelist at private events, including one led by IBM on properly educating marketers and stakeholders on the importance of social marketing.
In 2014, Carol was named in PR Week’s Innovation 50 list, which recognizes “rising stars in tech PR and digital communications in the agency, in-house, and social media sectors.”
Carol has dedicated her career to helping companies understand their key value areas, create their larger brand story, and craft the narrative that allows them to put themselves at the forefront of their industries by building thoughtful media campaigns, highlighting thought leadership, customer momentum and product innovation.
