With more than a decade of corporate communications experience, Landen devises and executes strategies that result in maximum visibility, increase the bottom line and safeguard reputation. He serves as a trusted adviser to senior executives and provides counsel on communications tactics to help mitigate a wide range of high-risk situations. Landen specializes in crisis communications, reputation management, brand positioning and executive visibility. Some of his previous clients have included Wells Fargo, Forever 21, Greenland USA, Ticketmaster, UCLA, Fair, Convergint Technologies, and Kaiser Permanente.
He most recently served as Grindr’s head of communications and primary spokesperson, where he launched the groundbreaking “Kindr” campaign and organized Grindr’s first-ever Data Privacy Summit to rebuild consumer and community trust. While at Grindr, he also devised financial communications strategies and oversaw communications strategy and tactics for market re-entry in India and Brazil.
Prior to joining Grindr, he led corporate and crisis communications at Edelman Los Angeles alongside the Western Region Head of Crisis/Public Affairs. Additionally, he served on Edelman’s national brain trust for media training and operated as Knowledge Manager for the region’s executive positioning offering, providing media and message training to C-suite executives. Before settling down in Los Angeles, Landen worked at a boutique public relations agency in Seattle and supported communications initiatives for clients in the PNW.
Landen graduated from Bradley University (IL) with a degree in communications, and currently resides in DTLA with his partner, Gavin, and golden retriever, Huxley.
